Sangoma Send - Contacts Guide
Overview
Contacts is where the contacts are managed. A list of existing contacts along with their email or phone number is displayed.
Select the Contacts option in the menu on the left side of the page, and the following page is displayed.
List Actions
At the top of the list the following action are available:
① Search - Enter information to search for an existing notification. ② Import - Provides the ability to export the notification as a CSV formatted file.
③ Export - Provides the ability to export the notification as a CSV formatted file.
④ + CONTACT - Add a new Contact.

How to Create or Edit a Contact
Create a New Contact: To Create a new contact, click the + New Contacts button above the list of contacts.
Edit an existing Contact: To edit a contact, click the Action icon ( ⋮ ) on desired CONTACT and select Edit.
First: Enter the contact’s First Name.
Last name: Enter the contact’s Last Name.
Email Address: Enter the contact’s Email Address.
Enter the contact’s Phone Number that will except text messages.
Tags: Add tags to a contact. During Tag entry, separate each tag with a comma.
Tags provide that ability to group contacts. During campaign create all contacts with a selected Tag can be added to the Campaign’s Audience.Click the SAVE button to submit all changes.
How to Delete a Contact
To delete a contact, click the Action icon ( ⋮ ) on desired CONTACT and select Delete.
When prompted click the DELETE button. To cancel out of the delete function click the ( X ) in the top right corner of the pop-up.
How to Export Contacts
Click the Export ( ) icon at the top of the page.
A spreadsheet compatible CSV file will be created in the device's default location with all Contacts included.
How to Import Contacts
The Sangoma Send app provides the ability to import a list of contacts using a CSV formatted file.
Click the Contacts option in the menu on the left side of the page. and follow the steps below.
Step 1 - Create a template CSV file:
At the top of the Contact list, click the Import ( ) icon.
In the Pop-up window that is displayed, Click the DOWNLOAD SAMPLE button.
A Excel compatible CSV file will be created in the device's default location.
Step 2 - Add contacts to the new CSV file.
Open the downloaded export file using a spreadsheet app like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Do not add any entries in the first column “uuid”
Add the following contact information:
uuid - Leave this field empty.
Firstname - Enter the contact’s first name.
Lastname - Enter the contact’s last name.
Tags - Enter an existing or new Tag (example: Monthly Newsletter).
Email - (optional) Enter the contact’s email address.
Phonenumber - (optional) Enter the contact’s Phone Number that will except text messages.. Note: The number should be just the number, no special characters.
Save the changes.
Note: Insure the file is saved as a CSV file and not a spreadsheet.
Step 3 - Import the contacts via the new CSV file.
Click the Import ( ) icon at the top of the page.
Click the CHOOSE FILE button.
Select a previously created CSV file.
If the first row has column headers, click the “First row has headers” checkbox.
Click the IMPORT button.
A popup window will appear and display how many rows were processed, rejected and imported. Normally there will be at least 1 row rejected, which is the first row of column headers.
