Boot Process - Overview
The boot process allows you to load software and configure IP information to the CTRL management ports on the rear of the unit. To accomplish loading software and configuring ip information, choose one of the following scenarios:

Configure CTRL 0/1 port IP information using: | Load Software (.bin) using: |
BootP/DHCP | FTP server |
BootP/DHCP | SD card |
SD card | FTP server |
SD card | SD card |

BootP/DHCP server and FTP server typically are the same device.
