Signaling Variants Overview
The IMG 2020 supports creating an SS7 or SIP-T signaling variant by either importing, customizing, or using one of the default variants created. The Signaling Variants object in this topic is a container or parent object to the Signaling Variant object. Under the Signaling Variants object multiple variants can be created under it. To create the Signaling Variants object, right click on the Dialogic object and select New Signaling Variants.
Creating and modifying signaling variants is very difficult to do. Before creating or modifying a custom signaling variant, contact Dialogic Technical Support first. Dialogic Technical Support have created and customized many variants and in most cases would be able to assist customers in creating the custom variant using an existing variant file that has already been previously created/modified.Â

Related Topics and Dependencies
To add or modify an existing base variant such as ANSI 97, ITU97, ETSI V1, etc a signaling variant needs to be created and added to the default base variant already created. To do this a Signaling Variants object (This Topic) must be created. Under the Signaling Variants object which is a container or parent object the Signaling Variant object can be created. Within the Signaling Variant object create the Base Variant. Under the Signaling Variant object, a Variant Entry can be configured. The Variant Entry is used to modify the base variant. Information regarding any modifications to the base variant are done here. Once the variant has been created and modified, it can then be added to the SS7 Signaling Stack and SIP-T Entity objects.
