Voip to analog converters
Voip to analog converters
The PBX server is made for real analog lines, but some customers get a "voip to analog" converter from Comcast or another provider. When connecting this type of device to the PBX server it will short out.
The way to fix this is to use a 2 wire analog cable instead of a 4 wire analog cable.
The cables we provide are RJ11/4 (the smaller jack) to RJ11/6 (the standard analog jack). To get a 2 wire cable, the customer either has to ask his provider, or have them cut two of the wires on the cable, effectively making it a 2 wire cable.
