Upgrade

How do I perform an upgrade?

If you see the following banner at the top of your Admin Panel (the product name depends on which Fonality product you purchased of course):

Please click on the words click here to automatically navigate to Status --> upgrade.  From the upgrade page, you can check the details of any available upgrade.  Some upgrades require that your system restart thus preventing normal operation for a short time.  Other upgrades do not require a restart, and you can feel confident that performing these upgrades during business hours will not impact your system's ability to place and receive calls.

Details of an upgrade display in line as follows:

In our example, an upgrade to FONagi is available.  When you click Begin Upgrade, the system will inform you if this particular software package requires a system restart.  If so, you have the option of cancelling the upgrade and performing it at a later time.

A status bar indicates the progress of the software upgrade:

Click view details at any time to get more information about exactly which part of the upgrade is being performed.

Once the upgrade completes, the following message displays:

If an upgrade fails at any time, a message describing the error displays:

Please follow the information presented in the error message - in this case, contact Support for final resolution.
