Open Source - A-Phone Configuration via Web Interface

This article provides the steps to register an A-Series Phone using its web interface.

There are additional provisioning options, including using the Phone Interface or an XML file.

How to register an Asterisk A-Series Phone through the web interface

Step 1

  1. First you'll need to locate the IP address of Asterisk phone.

    1. To locate the IP address go to Menu>Status from the phone itself.

Step 2

  1. Once you have the above info, open up a web browser and enter the IP Address of the Asterisk phone in the Address Bar. It should prompt you to log in,

    1. Use the following credentials: 

      1. Username: admin

      2. Password: 789

Step 3

  1. Select the Options Line on the left side

    1. Will change to new screen, and the tab for SIP on top would be selected, we will fill the following fields:

    2. Line: SIP 1 ( or whatever line number you want to go configure)
                               Username: Ext number
                               Display name: Ext number
                               Authentication Name: Ext number
                               Authentication Password: Phone password (this is not the web UI password or voicemail password)
                               SIP Proxy Server Address: IP address of the PBX
                               Activate: Select it or put a check mark on it. 
                               SIP Proxy Server Port: 5060 (default)
                               Backup Proxy Server Port: 5060 (default)

    3. Click on Apply
