eFax Admin Section

The Admin section allows an administrator to control which users can see which DIDs in the eFax Portal. The administrator can add new users and assign them to a role of Admin or Fax User.  If you want to create a Super User you need to create this from within the SIPStation Store as outlined here.

Only Super Users and Fax Admin users can see the Admin section and manage other users. See Different Types of Fax Users Explained.

You will need to assign DIDs to fax trunks in the SIPStation Admin Portal before the DIDs will appear here. For instructions, please see DID to Fax Trunk Assignments.

 

 

How to Navigate to Admin Section

  • Click the Admin item in the navigation menu.

  • You'll see a list of existing users and have the opportunity to add or edit users.

How to Add a User

  • Click the Add User button.

 

  • This will display a form where you can enter details about the user.

    • Username

    • Name

    • Office Number

    • Cellphone Number

    • Fax Number

    • Password

    • Confirm New Password (enter the password again)

    • Email Address

    • Confirm Email Address (enter the e-mail address again)

  • Location- For each location you have set up in SIPStation, you can pick if the user is a "Fax Only" user or an "Admin User."  Both Admin and Fax users cannot log into the SIPStation Admin Portal (Store). Only Super Users can log into the SIPStation Admin Portal. To create new Super Users, please review How to Add and Manage Users.

    • Admin User: Can access the eFax portal, add and edit users, control which DIDs a user can see, set some device alerts, and change some device settings. Cannot access the SIPStation Admin Portal (Store).

    • Fax User: Can access the eFax portal. Cannot manage settings for users or log into the SIPStation Admin Portal (Store).

      Note: for the on/off toggles, remember that a dark blue background means "selected."

 

  • Fax DIDs Assigned to this User: By default, no fax DIDs are assigned to the new user. Once you pick which locations a user can be a part of, any fax DIDs for that location will show up below. You can pick which of those DIDs the user can see.

     

    Not seeing a DID?

    A Super Admin needs to use the Fax section of the SIPStation Store at http://www.sipstation.com to assign DIDs to fax trunks. For more information, see DID to Fax Trunk Assignments.

 

Click the Save button when finished.

 

How to Edit a User

  • Click the edit button  for the user you wish to edit.

 

  • When finished making changes, click the Save button.
