Multicast Addresses (6.3)

This tool allows Administrators to configure Digium Phones as multicast receivers by creating one or more multicast addresses and then to display a list of these multicast addresses. This list is used to maintain all of the addresses that your Digium Phones might use, and to determine the order of priority that a phone uses to play transmissions (in the event that the phone is receiving multiple transmissions at the same time). Phones will always play the transmission coming from the highest priority address (where 1 is the highest).
Multicast addresses can be in the following range:Â 225.0.0.0 - 239.255.255.255

To assign one or more addresses to a Digium Phone, use the extension's Digium Phone Settings, Multicast Addresses, under the Advanced Options.
