Connect Legacy PBX to ITSP
The following describes how to configure a Vega 50FXS/Vega3000G/Vega5000 to connect your Legacy PBX to an ITSPÂ

The Vega gateway can either be installed on an external IP address or behind a router
 All the ITSP SIP Trunk provider settings will need to be obtained from the SIP Trunk Provider.Â
The SIP trunk from the ITSP to the Vega gateway may require that the Vega to register to a ITSP Registrar

Log into the Vega gateway using the WebUI interface. The default  user is admin and password is admin
 The 'Status' screen will begin to load. Once the page has loaded select the "Quick Config" menu option as shown below

The WebUI will present a warning message please read the message and then select "Continue" on the screen below
Once the Quick Config UI has loaded select the "Basic" Tab. Â
Country - Changing the country configuration may require the current changes to be re-submitted to the Vega and may result in the Topology being changed from E1 to T1.
        This is where the Country localisation and IP address configuration is specified. Â

You must specify the correct country or the Vega will not be able to recognise the tones for you Telephone lines
Â
Once the Basic config is completed select the "VoIP" tab. Â The screen shot below highlights the most important fields
SIP Domain- This is should be set to the IP address or Hostname of the SIP PBX we are sending calls to and receiving calls from. Â
SIP Server Address- This will be the IP destination for SIP calls from the Vega to the PBX
Outbound Proxy address-Â Not used
Registration mode-Â Must be set toÂ
Registrar Address- This will be the IP destination for SIP Registration for the SIP Trunk
Registration and Authentication ID- This is the ID which has been setup by the ITSP for the SIP Trunk.  Authentication Password This will need to be the password provided by the ITSP SIP Trunk provider
Once the VoIP config is competed select the FXS tab. A screenshot below gives the example of an FXS tab.
  Enabled? This determines if the port/extension is enabled, unused ports should be disabledÂ

  Enable Caller-ID generation: This turns on the generation of caller-id - for incoming calls callerid will be sent to the analog handset as a burst of tones.
  Numeric Caller-ID: Defines the telephone number that is sent as Caller ID for outbound calls from the analog extension
  Textual Caller-ID: Defines where applicable the textual name of the Caller ID name for outbound calls from the extension
  Telephone number(s) to route... Defines the dial plan routing to this extension. By default this is set to the port number (i.e. 0101 for port 1).
                           You will need to change this to correct extension numbers you wish to route out these FXS ports.Â
                           More than one telephone number can be defined (using comas), numbers such 955122354,122354,354 etcÂ

Registration and Authentication ID:Â This can either be the Numeric ID, the Textual ID or a customer string as required by the IP-PBX
Authentication Password:Â This defines the password used to authenticate the SIP extension with the IP-PBX
