Channel Groups

The IMG 2020 utilizes a single Channel Group to communicate with endpoints within a network. This single channel group uses a specific protocol and connects to a specified endpoint. The IMG 2020 supports creating multiple single channel group objects to connect to many different locations. The Channel Groups object is a container or placeholder object and multiple Channel Group objects are configured under it.

One Channel Groups object can be created per Routing Configuration object.

Button Functionality
Download Resource Tables - After creating or modifying a channel group, click on the Download Resource Tables button and any new Channel Group Resource tables will be downloaded and any existing Channel Group Resource Tables will be updated. Also, if any changes are made to an external network element that is configured within the Channel Group object, the Download Resource Tables button will need to be clicked on to send the updated configuration,
Any time the configuration under the channel group object needs to be sent to the IMG 2020, a yellow exclamation point will be displayed in the Channel Groups Icon indicating there is configuration to be sent to the IMG 2020.Â
