Cause Code Table Element
Â
Â
The Cause Code Table Element object is created and configured under the Cause Code Table object. The Cause Code Table Element object configures what happens when a cause code is received on the outgoing leg. One solution supported is to map the cause code received to a different cause code and then transmit the mapped cause code back out the incoming leg. A second solution supported is to Route the received cause code to a treatment table or announcement to be played to the incoming side. See information below.
Cause Code Mapping
When a cause code is received, it can be mapped to a different cause code. Once mapped, the new cause code is then transmitted back to the calling party.
A call is received on an incoming channel group and routed to an outgoing channel group.
The remote entity connected to the outgoing channel group rejects the call and responds with a cause code.
The cause code is received on the outgoing channel group from the remote entity that rejected the call.
With the Route Action Type field set to Cause Code, the received cause code is mapped within the IMG 2020 to one of the cause codes selected in the drop down menu of the Outgoing Cause Code field.
Play Treatment because of received cause code
A call is received on an incoming channel group and routed to an outgoing channel group.
The remote entity connected to the outgoing channel group rejects the call with a cause code.
The cause code is received on the outgoing channel group from the remote entity that rejected the call.
With the Route Action Type field set to Treatment Table, the received cause code is mapped within the IMG 2020 to one of the treatments/announcements selected in the drop down menu of theOutgoing Treatment Tablefield.
Each entry created can be enabled or disabled and they are all displayed in the Object Table tab below the Cause Code Table object pane. Refer to the information belowÂ

Maximum Objects
The IMG 2020 will allow up to 66 combined Route Tables, Cause Code Tables, Time Of Day Tables and Service Routing/TOD Tables. The IMG 2020 has a max capacity of 100,000 combined elements/entries of the tables mentioned above. For example, the IMG 2020 can support creating 20 Cause Code Tables with each Cause Code Table having 5000 Cause Code Table Elements.
