Provisioning - Overview

Provisioning includes altering the state of an existing priority, service, or capability. Taking spans IN and OUT of service would be considered provisioning. The topic below describes what can be provisioned and the methods that are employed to accomplish the provisioning. Provisioning on the IMG 2020 can be achieved by selecting any of the provisioning buttons located within Web GUI object pane. An example of the provisioning buttons are displayed in the screen capture below. Refer to information below.

Provisioning Tasks
Physical IMG 2020
(Dialogic > IMG 2020)
Reset IMG 2020- The Reset IMG 2020 button will sent a rest message and a hard reset condition will occur and reset the IMG 2020. The IMG 2020 will go through its initial diagnostics and reload software and eventually reload the configuration file. The Reset BDN button can be used to upgrade the system software when a newer version is available.
Download Raw File- The Download RAW File will send any RAW API message loaded in the /opt/dialogic/common/config directory. The file containing the RAW API messages must be put into a file named rawapi.cfg. Downloading RAW API is typically used to download new signaling variants created through use of the Dialogic® PPL (Programmable Protocol Language).
Facility Interfaces
(Dialogic > IMG 2020 > Facility > DS3/Optical (DS3) > DS3 Interface > DS3 Interface)

In Service- The In Service button sends a message to the IMG 2020 to bring the DS3 or STM-1 interface into Service.
Out Of Service- The Out Of Service button sends a message to the IMG 2020 to take the DS3 or STM-1 interface Out Of Service.

SS7 Signaling  Link
(Dialogic > SS7 > SS7 Network > SS7 Stack > SS7 LinkSet > SS7 Link)
In Service - The In Service button will send a message to the IMG 2020 to bring the SS7 Link into service.
Out of Service - The Out of Service button will send a message to the IMG 2020 to take the SS7 Link Out Of Service.
Inhibit - The Inhibit button sends a request to the IMG 2020 to place a link in the inhibited state. An link in the inhibited state cannot transmit user traffic.
Uninhibit - The Uninhibit button sends a request to uninhibit a link that has been placed in the inhibited state.

Translation Table
(Dialogic > Routing Configuration > (Incoming or Outgoing) Translation Tables > Translation Table)
Download Translation Table - The Download Translation Table button will download the translation tables configured on the Web GUI to the IMG 2020. This is usually done after either creating or modifying a translation entry. A yellow exclamation point icon will appear in front of the Translation Table object indicating it has been modified or newly created. At this point, the configuration can be sent to the IMG 2020 by clicking on the Download Translation Table button.
Routing Table
(Dialogic > Routing Configuration > Routing Tables > Routing Table) or
(Dialogic > Routing Configuration > Service Routing Tables > Route Table)
Download Routing Table - The Download Routing Table button will download the routing tables configured on the Web GUI to the IMG 2020. This is usually done after either creating or modifying a routing entry. A yellow exclamation point icon will appear in front of the Routing Table object indicating it has been modified or newly created. At this point, the configuration can be sent to the IMG 2020 by clicking on the Download Routing Table button.
Treatment Table
(Dialogic > Routing Configuration > Treatment Tables > Treatment Table)
Download Treatment Table - The Download Treatment Table button will download the treatment tables configured on the Web GUI to the IMG 2020. This is usually done after either creating or modifying a treatment element. A yellow exclamation point icon will appear in front of the Treatment Table object indicating it has been modified or newly created. At this point, the configuration can be sent to the IMG 2020 by clicking on the Download Treatment Table button.
Save TOD Table
(Dialogic > Routing Configuration > Time Of Day Tables > TOD Table)
Save TOD Table - The Save TOD Table button will download the Time Of Day tables configured in the Web GUI to the IMG 2020. This is usually done after either creating or modifying a Time Of Day entry.
Channel Groups
(Dialogic > Routing Configuration > Channel Groups)
Download Resource Tables - The Download Resource Table button will download the channel group resource table configured on the Web GUI to the IMG 2020. This is usually done after either creating or modifying a Channel group. A yellow exclamation point icon will appear in front of the Channel Groups object indicating it has been modified or newly created. At this point, the configuration can be sent to the IMG 2020 by clicking on the Download Resource Tables button.
SSH Client
(Dialogic > SSH)
Reset SSH Client - Sends a reset message the SSH Client. Typically applied if having issues logging on to IMG 2020 using SSH.
Profiles
(Dialogic > Profiles)
Download Profiles - After creating and configuring or modifying the different profiles under the Profiles object, they need to be sent to the IMG 2020. Click on the Download Profiles button in the Profiles object pane and the modified or newly created profile configuration will be sent to the IMG 2020. Note that after either modifying or creating the individual profiles, the main Profiles icon will change to a yellow exclamation point. This is an indication that the profiles object has been modified and the new configuration has not been sent to the IMG 2020. After clicking on the Download Profiles button, the icon will change back to the normal configured icon.
Variant
(Dialogic > Signaling Variants > Signaling Variant)
Save Variant Table - After configuring a Variant under the Variant object, the newly configured or modified variant must be semt to the IMG 2020. Click on the Save Variant Table and the variant will be sent to the IMG 2020.
Import - The Import button is used to download custom variants to the IMG 2020. The import button will open up an Upload File dialog box. Click on the plus icon and another File Upload dialog box will appear. Browse and select the file that has the custom variant information and the file
Export - The Export  button is used to export a custom variant from the IMG 2020. The custom variant file can be exported to the PC that the Web GUI is being run from and can then be imported to a second node.
Routing
(Dialogic > Routing Configuration)
Verify Routing Configuration - Queries the routing configuration tables from all nodes and verifies they are the same size as the tables that the BDN EMS has stored. If the size does not verify, a pop up box will ask if you want to fix it. If yes is selected, it re-downloads the tables that are in BDN EMS to the IMG 2020.
IMG License Info
(Dialogic > IMG 2020 > License Info)
Download New License - The Download New License is located under the License Info object. The download license command will download the license file located in the /opt/dialogic/common/license directory. Downloading the license file is used to send a new license that has been upgraded to the IMG 2020 without having to reset the system.
