SD Card - Remote Access

The SD Card that is inserted into the IMG 2020 can be accessed remotely using the Secure FTP protocol to load new software builds or edit any files on the SD Card that need modifying. The FTP server functionality is disabled by default and can to be enabled through the Web GUI. Follow the procedures below which describe the steps needed to remotely access the SD Card.

Enabling SFTP

To utilize the IMG 2020 as an sFTP server and remotely access the SD card, sFTP protocol must first be enabled. Follow instructions below to enable sFTP on the IMG 2020. be  must first be inserted into the SD card socket. In the procedure below it is assumed that the system software has been loaded and the SD Card is inserted in the SD Card slot.

  • Open a browser and log into the IMG 2020 through the Web GUI.

  • Right click on the IMG 2020 node object in the configuration tree and select New SFTP Server.

  • In the SFTP Server object that gets created, select Enable from the drop down menu and commit the object. Refer to the SFTP Server topic for information on this object.

  • Open an SFTP session and log in using the following credentials:

  • Once the SFTP session is open, a user can now transfer files to and from the SD card as well as modify any existing files that are on the SD Card.
