Web GUI - Functionality
Below displays and describes the different functionality of the Web GUI. The Web GUI is used for configuration, provisioning and monitoring of the IMG 2020. The Web GUI is opened up in a web browser using one of the supported browsers in the table below.
Web Browser | Supported |
Mozilla FireFox | Yes |
Microsoft Internet Explorer | Yes |
Google Chrome | Yes |
Safari | No (Not as of Release 2.2) |
When working within the Web GUI, if any javascript changes such as adding or deleting entries in the object table tab are made, it is possible the Web GUI could display some erroneous results. In this case, the Web browser cache may need to be cleared. Clearing the web browser cache usually cleans up these issues.
Connecting to IMG 2020 through Web GUI
Connecting to the IMG 2020 can be accomplished through either a single node direct connection or through a multi node connection. Refer to the correct scenario below.
Single Node Direct Connect
Open one of the supported Web Browsers from table above. In the procedure below, Mozilla Firefox was used, although any of the Web Browsers supported from table above would use the same procedure.
If connecting to a single node direct connect scenario, enter the IP address of the IMG 2020 into the browsers location bar and press <Enter> key. The IP address of the IMG 2020 is the IP address in the yiaddr= line in the bootup.cfg file.
Multi Node Connection through Virtual Manager and EMS Installation
Open one of the supported Web Browsers from table above. In the procedure below, Mozilla Firefox was used, although any of the Web Browsers supported from table above would use the same procedure.
If connecting to a Multi Node setup, enter the IP address given to the Virtual Manager. If IP address is not known, refer to the Software Install Overview (Multi-Node) topic. Refer to screen capture below.
The Login page dialog box appears. Enter the User and Password information. See screen capture below.
The default user and password given to the IMG 2020 is displayed below.
| Default User and Password |
User | dialogic |
Password | Dial0gic (Capital D, Zero for O) |
In the Login Dialog box, there is a box labeled Request Configuration Rights and by default has a check mark in it. By checking this box, this allows a user to both log into the Web GUI and request permissions to be able to configure the IMG 2020 using the Web GUI. If another user is logged into the IMG 2020 a dialog box will appear displaying Another user owns permission. To gain configuration rights the user must get the existing user to relinquish configuration rights -or- if the user logging in has administrative rights, that user can force the existing user off by clicking on the Remove Edit Mode ICON. Refer to the Edit Mode Icon section below for more information on seizing Administrative rights.
If this is the first time logging into IMG 2020 through the Web GUI the Dialogic object will be the only object displayed. If the Direct Connect Single Node scenario is being employed, right click on the Dialogic object and select New IMG 2020. The IMG 2020 physical node screen will appear. Select an ID from drop down menu. In the Name field, enter a Name that will identify this node. Refer to the Physical Node - Direct Connect topic for information on configuring the remaining fields.
If however the Multinode scenario is being employed, as described above, right click on the Dialogic object and select New IMG 2020. The IMG 2020 physical node object will appear. In the Name field, enter a Name that will identify this node. In the IP address field, enter the IP address of the node that you would like to connect to. Refer to the Physical Node - Multinode topic for information on configuring the remaining fields.Click on commit icon from the configuration tab.
The unpopulated fields will now automatically be populated with information from the IMG 2020. Once the node is created and committed the configuration of the IMG 2020 can now be started.
Web GUI Toolbar
Below is screen capture of the Web GUI toolbar and an explanation of each ICON located in the Web GUI.

Once the Databases directory is created on the SD card, it can then be sent to Dialogic Support Personnel for Analysis. |
Configuration Tab
Icon | Description |
Commit | After entering the configuration information on an individual object, the object must first be committed which is to send the configuration from the Web GUI down to the IMG 2020. To commit an object, click on the object entry in the configuration tree and then click on the commit icon in the menu bar. This will send the configuration for that object to the IMG 2020. The object is fully committed when the configuration tree icon is displayed with a check mark which signifies object has been fully configured. For more information on the state of the icons, refer to Web GUI Indicators topic. |
Delete | Delete the object currently selected/highlighted in the Configuration Tree Pane. |
Undo | When an object has been created, there are individual fields located in the configuration and provisioning pane of the object. These fields need to be individually configured. If a change is made to one or more fields, the option of reverting back to the previous state is given by selecting Undo Changes form the menu bar. This reverts the changes made in the Web GUI pane back to its previous value. |
Expand Next Level | Expands all the objects that were collapsed under the selected/highlighted object. This will expand the objects one level down only. If there are objects that are two levels down, they will be expanded out from under the highlighted object but the object two levels down will not be expanded. |
Collapse Previous | This will collapse all the objects under the highlighted object so they are now hidden under the object selected. Any objects that are two or more levels down will be rolled up under the highlighted object but will not be collapsed. |
Management Tab
Icon | Description |
Edit Mode Edit Mode Enabled Edit Mode Disabled | When the Edit Mode icon looks like the Edit Mode Enabled icon to the left, the user will have configuration rights. A user with configuration rights can modify and configure the objects within the Web GUI. When the Edit Mode icon is clicked on, it changes to the Edit Mode Disabled icon displayed to the left. When the icon is in the Edit Mode Disabled state, the user will not have the ability to modify or configure the objects. The objects will be grayed out and cannot be accessed in the Edit Mode Disabled state. The Edit Mode was designed so that multiple users can log into the IMG 2020 at once and depending on each ones administrative rights, only one user is allowed configuration rights at a time. In order for a user to gain configuration rights, a second user who has the configuration rights must first set the Edit mode to Edit Mode Disabled. The user who wants the administrative rights must then toggle his or her browsers Edit Mode icon to Edit Mode Enabled. This gives the user configuration rights and now he/she can modify the configuration. Refer to the Topics under the AdminManager section for more information on administrative permissions and rights. |
Remove Edit Mode | Only a user with Administrative rights can use the Remove Edit Mode. If there is another user logged into the system that has configuration rights, the user with Administrative rights can remove the configuration rights from the logged in user. At this point, the user with administrative rights will also have configuration rights. |
Change Password | To modify the password for the user that is currently logged into the system, click on the Password Change icon. A Password Change: dialog box will appear. Enter the existing password and then enter the new password twice. Once in the New Password field and then again in the Repeat Password field. At that point, the password for that user has been modified. When modifying a password, there are a set of complexity rules that need to be followed. Refer to the Username Password Rules topic when modifying or creating a password for a new or existing username. To exit from the Password Change dialog box without modifying the password, enter the existing password in all three fields of the Password Change: dialog box. |
Help Tab

The topic opened up will describe the individual fields of that object and what type of values need to be entered.

Also, individual .pdf manuals including a Quick Start Guide and individual hardware replacement procedures can be viewed or downloaded.
