Control Box Functional Note
The HC100 and HC120 have a user Control Box built into the middle of their USB cables (as above) that allows the user to adjust certain setting and affect certain actions. The Control Box has functions for mute/unmute, volume up/down, and call control. It also has an LED indicator for ringing and call state.
The mute and volume controls interact directly with the Operating System and should be generally functional with both Windows and macOS systems.
The call control function, as well as the ringing and call state functions of the LED; however, are application dependent. To be properly utilized, you must use a client application that has support for the Sangoma headsets built into it.
Version 3.1.1 and greater of Sangoma Phone for Desktop is one of these applications.
To use the Control Box functionality with a supporting application, you must configure the ringer functionality of the supporting application to be serviced by the Sangoma headset. If the Sangoma headset is not selected as the ringer device, then the call control functionality will notwork.
