Business Voice - 2023 Portal Release Notes

DECEMBER 2023

  • Features/ Functionality/ Enhancements:

    • Re-ordering of license manager page services

    • Updating available extension type options to “Sangoma Talk”

    • Improved load times for Additional location information page

  • Bugs:

    • Holiday schedules were not loading accurately in the BV Portal- specifically, when last minute changes were made. Further investigation confirmed that it was related to user time zone settings compared to server time zones. This was fixed

NOVEMBER 2023

  • Features/ Functionality/ Enhancements:

    • Added functionality of printing all assets at either a location or customer level. Additional details here: Business Voice - Asset Lists

    • Sangoma expansion module PM200 now supported and available for configuration in the BV portal. Up to 3 modules can be connected to supported P-phone models (separate power supplies required for 2nd and 3rd)

  • Bugs:

  • Features/ Functionality/ Enhancements:

    • All end users will be moved over to the new Aurora mode as well. Additional details here Business Voice - Portal Configuration Guide

    • Voicemail to Email will be blocked by default for all HIPAA flagged BV+ locations- including preventing voicemail groups from getting voicemail sent to them

  • Bugs:

    • When building out locations, company directory and voicemail were always defaulting to 3 digit extensions of 800 and 801 even when the location was set up for 4 digit extensions. This was fixed

SEPTEMBER 2023

  • Features/ Functionality/ Enhancements:

    • All Partners will be moved over to the new Aurora mode. Aurora offers a cleaner user experience and allows partners to better manage their customers. For more information on Aurora enhancements, please review Business Voice - Portal Configuration Guide  

    • Addition of Bulk User Management option (in left navigation bar) to allow for the creation of up to 1000 users at a time- more details here: Business Voice Portal- Bulk User Import

    • UI Improvements to License Management page

    • Poly Rove B2 (base station) along with handsets Rove 30 and Rove 40 now supported and available for configuration in portal. BV supports Single and Dual cell deployment. BV+ supports single cell deployment only

    • When assigning speed dials, users are now presented with “Labels” to make it easier to find and assign numbers to speed dial entries from the Individual Phone Settings section

  • Bugs:

AUGUST 2023

  • Features/ Functionality/ Enhancements:

    • Users will now be able to see a “breadcrumb trail” in the main blue navigation bar (on the top of the screen) to indicate which section of the portal they are currently viewing

    • Partners will now be able to manage all users licenses from a single screen (if licenses have been purchased for that customer). More information here Sangoma Apps User License Management Guide 

 

  • Updated view of License Manager (for SMS, Meet, Chat and Connector) to be available from single screen for Partner admins

  • Dealer Admins and Partners are now able to assign CyberData PA and PS as device types from Device Configuration → Extensions for BV. For BV+, only the CyberData PS can be selected. More information here Cyberdata Paging Adapter and Speaker Provisioning Guide 

  • Bugs:

    • When going to Configuration → Call Configuration → Recording Settings, users that had Call Recordings (or not) would be displayed as expected, but none of the check boxes could be enabled/ disabled until a filter/ search was applied on the screen. This was fixed

JULY 2023

  • Features/ Functionality/ Enhancements:

    • For locations that have Sangoma CX, there were some updates made around queue displays. Additional information here Sangoma CX Release Notes.  

    • For locations that are still running StarBox 1.0, users will be presented with a reminder that 1.0 is set to be EOL’d as of July 2023. This will only be seen on the Location Status screen of BV+ locations that ARE running 1.0

  • Under Call Configuration → Incoming Call Routing/ Scheduler, any unassigned numbers available (at the customer level) will now be viewable and sorted based on NPA-NXX and then line number

  • When pulling up a location and going to Device Configuration → Extensions, selecting an extension now allows admins to clone up to 250 extensions at a time. Additional details here Business Voice - Clone Extension 

  • Bugs:

    • From Other Tools → Print Company Directory, it was reported that the favicon on the browser tab was reflecting the old Sangoma logo. This was fixed 

    • When searching for some locations that had special characters in their name (“/” or “\”) users would be presented with errors. This was fixed

JUNE 2023

  • Features/ Functionality/ Enhancements:

    • Multiple references of SC3 and CCaaS are now updated to reflect CX- the new name for our Sangoma Contact Center

    • Some fields in the Letter of Authorization (LoA) and Resp Org forms were updated to reflect our new Florida office address along with updated email boxes

    • The Vega 3000G and 3050G high density gateways (24 port and 50 port respectively) are now supported on BV+ and available for configuration in the BV portal. For more information, visit Vega 3000G/3050G Guides 

  • Bugs: N/A 

MAY 2023

  • Features/ Functionality/ Enhancements:

    • All users are now presented with an updated login page (for both existing and Aurora view)

    • All new users being set up, will have Aurora as the default view- they will still be able to switch back to classic/ existing view

    • The Snom PA1+ is the new hardware version of the older EOS PA1 model that is now supported on both BV and BV+ locations. Under Individual Phone Settings, there is also an “auto answer” option that has been added for these new devices. Additional information can be found here Snom PA1 Configuration Guide 

  • Bugs

    • There were reported instances of the Save button being grayed out on the StarMessenger page even though it was clickable/ functioning. This was fixed

    • Advanced Settings→ Support Tools was only accessible from the existing portal view and not in Aurora. This was fixed

APRIL 2023 

  • Features/ Functionality/ Enhancements:

    • TeamHub will be split into Sangoma Chat and Sangoma Meet in portal and each will have additional tiers available for selection.

    • Aurora portal admins and users will get presented with a screen notifying them of being logged out due to inactivity

  • Bugs: N/A

MARCH 2023

FEBRUARY 2023

  • Features/ Functionality/ Enhancements:

    • Users now have the ability to toggle between the existing view or Aurora- our new version of the BV portal with updated layouts, improved performance and an enhanced user experience

  • Enhancements to Basic Scheduler that will prevent any of the close times from being set BEFORE the open times

  • Bugs: N/A

JANUARY 2023

  • Features/ Functionality/ Enhancements:

    • Partners are now presented with 2 ways to see where destinations are being used.  (1) Device Configuration --> Extensions --> Show Usages displays where that particular extension is being used.:

(2) Or Call Configurations --> Destinations --> Select Destination and Show where this destination is in use link 

  • All references of Star2Star are being phased out and replaced by the corporate Sangoma name and logo. This includes pop up windows, links and report headers/ footers

  • Bugs: N/A
