Business Voice - Portal Configuration Guide
Overview
This guide describes the available functions within the Configuration section of the BusinessÂ
Configuration Page
Click Here to access the Business Voice portal and then log in.
After logging in, the Configuration page is displayed. The user can then search for a location to view or update the location’s configuration.Â
The Configuration page also provides quick links to the following non location specific pages.

Location Status
After searching and selecting a location, the page that displays varies based on whether the location setup has been completed or not.
If the initial setup has Not been completed for the selected location, Initial Location Setup page is displayed.
If the initial setup has been completed for the selected location, the Location Status page is displayed.

The navigation menu on the left side of the page provides following options:Â
Note: Some features are available only on Business Voice + (BV+) locations and therefore not available for Business Voice (BV) locations.Â

Configuration summary
StarReporter
Location information
Location Status - Displays basic system and extensions status, along with recent calls and location inventory.
Location Information - Provides the ability to view and edit the location’s Service Address and Billing contact.Â
Additional location Information - Provides the ability to turned on or off the location’s options and configure the following:
Primary DID
Business Hours
Maintenance WindowÂ
After Hours Contact info.

Device configuration
Extensions - Provides the ability to Add, Edit, Delete, Move extensions, and Reset a Voicemail Box.

Extension Status - Displays a list of all the configured extensions for a location.

Multi-extension devices - Provides the ability to Configure Multi-extension devices.
Custom devices - Provides the ability to configure Custom Devices.

StarSIP devices - Provides the ability to configure SIP trunking for customers who are unable to replace their existing PBX.

Call configuration
E911 zone configuration - Provides the ability to configure e911 sublocations or "zones."Â

Incoming call routing - Provides the ability to configure the routing of inbound calls to destinations.

Destinations - Provides the ability to configure destinations. A destination is where an inbound call can be routed to, including Ring Groups, Queues, Recordings, Applications, Automated Attendants, Paging Groups, Voicemail Groups, Conference Rooms, etc..

Automated attendants - Provides the ability to configure a recorded message that initially greets callers and allows them to dial an extension or navigate a menu to reach the desired person or department.

Recording setting - Provides the ability to configure extensions to have the call recording option. Once set, recorded calls will be visible for that extension via the Application Framework - StarScope® 2 Activity Starlet.

Inbound callerID blocking - Provides the ability to configure inbound numbers that will be blocked from reaching a location or destination.Â

Analog operator/backup - Provides the ability to configure how the system directs outbound calls to a traditional analog line in case of an Internet outage.

System Management
StarBox Settings - Provides Business Voice + locations the ability to configure the Network, Traffic Shaping, Failover, and Firewall Settings.
Note: This feature is only available for Business Voice + locations.
Access the Business Voice portal and select the CONFIGURATION option at the top of the page.
Search and Select the required location.
From the Left Side Menu.
Select System Management.
Select StarBox settings.
International dialplan configuration - Provides the ability to configure Business Voice International Dialing Fraud Mitigation Service for a location.
Edit firmware version - Provides the ability for administrators of Business Voice + locations to update the firmware of selected devices.
Note: This feature is only available for Business Voice + locations.
Access the Business Voice portal and select the CONFIGURATION option at the top of the page.
Search and Select the required location.
From the Left Side Menu.
Select System Management.
Select Edit firmware version.

Asset management - This feature displays information regarding the physical hardware purchased for a location.
Cold/deactivated StarBox Inventory - This feature lists any StarBoxes that have been purchased as a spare. Cold deactivated StarBoxes are configured for the location and stored for future use in the event that the primary StarBox fails.
Note: This feature is only available for Business Voice + locations.
On-hold options - Provides the ability to Configure the Music on Hold and Call Park Timeout.

Location DID’s list [.csv] - Export the location’s list of DIDs to a CSV file.

Sangoma CX manager - If the customer has purchased Sangoma CX this option provides a link to the Sangoma’s Call Center solution.Â
License management
Application framework - Provides the ability to configure the Application Framework application.

License management - Provides the ability to manage user licenses for the Sangoma Apps.

Other tools
Print company directory - Displays the Company Directory, which can be printed via the P/C print function.
Configuration summary - Displays a summary of the location’s basic configuration info.
StarReporter - StarReporter provides 14 enhanced call detail record reports.
