Business Voice - Expansion Module Portal Configuration Guide

This guide provides instructions on how to configure Expansion Modules for the phones supported by Star2Star. Administrator-level access to the portal is required to follow these instructions.

 

Configure Expansion Module in the Portal

Follow the steps below to log in to the portal to configure an expansion module to the appropriate phone.

  1. Login into the Business Voice Portal using your Administrator level credentials.

  2. Select Configuration from the menu at the top of the page.

  3. Search and select a Location.

  4. Select Extensions within Device Management in the left side menu.

  1. Select and Edit the appropriate extension and assign the expansion modules to a host phone.

  2. Select the appropriate option for the type of screen on the expansion module.

Note: A PAPER -based expansion module does not have a digital display ( LCD ), so a User must fill out a paper insert to name the speed dial buttons or identify the action of the buttons on the device.

  1. Repeat the steps above for each expansion module being added.

  2. When finished, click Save Changes.

  3. After changes are saved, click Save Changes to System .

  4. After system changes are saved, reboot the phone.
