Business Voice - What are the Dialplan Extension Ranges?

100 - 799: Extensions (Note 727, 411 excluded) - 411 service provided via the analog ATA if configured

800 - 999: Destinations (IDD's) - (Note 911 excluded)

1001 - 5999 - StarCenter Agent IDs range

6xxx: Dial direct to VM (Voicemail) (xxx = extension) (Note this feature can also be used across location by dialing LocationID, 6,  xxx = extension) e.g. 206100

7xxx: Dial intercom (xxx = extension) (Note this feature can also be used across location by dialing LocationID, 7,  xxx = extension) e.g. 207100

8000: Recordings (pin required)

00 - 99: LocationID Prefix (Note) Exercise caution when allocating 41 or 91 as a location ID and using the 1xx extension range. An interlocation call to either could cause false calls to 911 or 411

*8: Pick-Up

*8xxx: Pick-up ringing extension (xxx = extension)

*2* or 727: Customer Service extension

7000: Call Park

*7000: Silent Park (no park position played)

7001 - 7099: Parking lot

*70xx: Directed Call Park

Calls can be transferred blind by dialing *70XX to put a call into a designated parking lot. Calls are retrieved from that spot by dialing 7XXX.

Note: BLF (Busy Lamp Field) will only be displayed for the park positions that are defined under key system mode that is set up via the portal. (e.g. if you only have 4 park positions defined and you transfer it to 7005 you will not be able to see BLF for 7005. You will still be able to pick that call  up by dialing 7005.)

411 is a reserved number and should not be programmed as a user extension. 911 is also reserved for emergencies only and should not be programmed as part of a customer configuration.

If a customer wants to dial the local phone companies 311, 611, or other local carrier service, the Business Voice customer location will need a programmed and configured with an ATA device and connection to a POTS/copper line needs to be configured. To reach the local carrier service a customer would need to dial **x11 (ie: **311) to place a call. ** preceding a number will force the call out through the ATA.

Analog dial

**(7-Digits) or **(10-Digits) will force the call to go through the analog line even if the StarBox® Voice Optimized SD-WAN is online. Must have analog backup configured to use this dial.
