Business Voice - How To Download Business Voice Applications

Prerequisite:

For Assistance, contact your Business Voice Portal administrator.

  • Softphone applications:  An extension created and assigned to the SoftPhone Desktop application.

  • Text Messaging applications:  A phone number assigned to your Text Messaging License.

  • Framework applications (Legacy):  Downloads are enabled for the user within the Application Framework configuration page.

Mobile Applications

iOS device

Using the iOS device, open Apple’s  App Store and complete the step below for the desired application.

Mobile Softphone App

  • Search for Sangoma Talk.

  • Select Sangoma Talk by Sangoma Technologies.

Mobile Text Messaging App.

  • Search for StarMessinger.

  • Select Star2Star Text Messaging by Star2Star Communications.

StarFax Mobile

  • Search for Star2Star.

  • Select StarFax by Star2Star Communications.

Android device

On an Android device, open the Google Play Store and complete the steps below for the desired application.

  • Using your Android device, open the  Play Store app.

  • Search for Sangoma Talk.

  • Select Sangoma Talk by Sangoma Technologies.

Mobile Text Messaging App.

Download directly from Sangoma

  • Using an Android device, click HERE  to download the installation file.

  • If you receive a Warning that the file might be harmful, Select Download anyway.

  • After the file is downloaded, click OPEN when prompted.

  • You may be required to change your Security Settings to allow unknown apps to be installed.

Warning: If you are required to change the Security Settings to allow unknown apps to be installed, it is highly recommended to reset your Security Settings to NOT allow unknown apps to be installed after you have installed this app.

  • If you missed the initial prompt to open the downloaded file follow the steps below.

  • Find and open your My Files App.

  • Navigate to the Download folder.

  • Find and click on Star2Star Text Messaging.apk.

Mobile Fax

Download directly from Sangoma

  • Using an Android device, click HERE  to download the installation file.

  • If you receive a Warning that the file might be harmful, Select Download anyway.

  • After the file is downloaded, click OPEN when prompted.

  • You may be required to change your Security Settings to allow unknown apps to be installed.

Warning: If you are required to change the Security Setting to allow unknown apps to be installed, it is highly recommended to reset your Security Setting to NOT allow unknown apps to be installed after you have installed this app.

  • If you missed the initial prompt to open the downloaded file follow the steps below.

  • Find and open your My Files App.

  • Navigate to the Download folder.

  • Find and click on StarFax.apk.

Desktop Applications

Warning: The StarPhone for Desktop application is our legacy desktop softphone application and is no longer available for download. We recommend using the TeamHub Talk app within our TeamHub application. For more information, reference the TeamHub User Guides.

Our desktop applications can be downloaded from the Business Voice Portal.

  • Log in to the Business Voice portal (Business Voice Portal).

  • If you have Administrator rights, you may need to select a location.

From the  Individual Phone Settings page, select the desired Application. (Ie, Application Framework, Startphone for Desktop, etc.)

Note: It is required that you read and accept the End User License Agreement (EULA), located under each application, before the download link will appear.

  • Click the appropriate  Accept Windows EULA   or   Accept MAC EULA  to review and accept the EULA.

  • After accepting the EULA, the “Sangoma Download  [Windows]” and “Sangoma Download  [Mac]” links will appear.

  • Select the appropriate link (Windows or Mac) for the type of PC you are using.

  • The system will download the appropriate  Install file.

  • Click on the downloaded file to complete the installation.
