Switchvox Intro to Admin Training

Intro to Admin

This article is a companion document for the SwitchvoxIntro to Admin video and will guide you through how to access the administration web suite, as well as demonstrate the features of Switchvox.

Connect to your Switchvox system via a web browser by entering your Switchvox IP address or URL.

When you are presented with the admin login screen, enter 'admin' as both the username and password.

At the top of the page, you will see four menu tabs: Setup, Tools, Reporting, and Server. To access these menus, simply hover over the appropriate tab.

On the home screen, you will see Take a Tour of our New Features, with several tour options listed below. These tours highlight new features that have been released, showing how they are used, as well as to show where they are located.

Clicking on the links below will launch a tour for that feature

For example, if you wanted to take a guided tour of the Queue Call Control, simply click on the link. An information box will pop up, giving you more information about the tour- to continue, click Next. You will then be stepped through the tour.

Anywhere you see a question mark icon, you can click on it to get information and instructions for that specific interface, page, or setting.

For example, if you go to Setup -> Manage and click on the question mark at the top of the page, a page will pop-up with information specific to Manage Extensions.

On the right side of the home screen, you will find links to Digium's knowledge base articles, which been created by our support team to answer common questions. You will also find links to answers from our forums, which allow you to see what other people have already asked.

You will find this in the upper-right hand corner of the page. Hover over your account name to have quick access to:

  • Logout- of the web suite.

  • My Account- allows you to update your account info and update your password.

  • Help- which takes you to all of the end user knowledge base articles.

  • About Switchvox- where you can see the current Switchvox version.
