Creating Custom Ring Tone

 

  • With the latest Sangoma End Point Manager 13.0.82 or newer you can upload 5 custom ring tones.   These are defined as Ring6 thru 10.

  • Go into End Point Manager in your PBX and choose the Ringtone Management from the right nav bar.

     

     

  • Click on the Edit  icon for one of the Ring6 thru Ring10 options that you want to upload a Ringtone for.

     

  • Give your custom ring tone a friendly name

  • Press the browser button to locate the file you want to upload

    • File formats have to be wav, ulaw, g722, sln, mp3

    • Length of ring tone file must be 15 or less seconds in length

  • Once file is chosen and uploaded a blue bar will appear. You can press the play button to preview the new ring tone before you submit it.

     

  • Press Submit on the bottom of the page to save your new file

     

  • To remove a ring tone file and upload a new one use the Browse button below. 

  • Your new ring tone can now be set as the default ring tone for any template in End Point Manager as outlined here or be used anywhere in your PBX that lets you set a ring tone as defined here.

You will need to reboot your phones for them to get the updated ring tones installed now.

At this time we can only install ring tones through http provisioning so make sure your template is setup for HTTP provisioning.
