Switchvox - Delay when dialing IVR options
Switchvox - Delay when dialing IVR options
In certain circumstances, such as when extension dialing is enable, Switchvox may add an extra delay time to give the caller time to input extra digits.
It's important to mention when Switchvox receives the digit 2 while on a IVR menu, it's unable to make the determination if the caller wants to reach menu option 2 or wants to dial an extension that being with the digit 2.
Here are two possible ways to get around this if extension dialing is necessary:
Disable "Extension dialing" from the IVR editor and require the user to select an option in that IVR menu to go to another IVR menu with "Extension Dialing" enabled.
Change the first number of each extension to a number other than the ones being used by this IVR menu's options.
