TeamHub Settings Guide

Overview

This guide provides instructions on how to configure different TeamHub settings.

Note: TeamHub settings may vary based on your voice platform (Business Voice or CommUnity).

Profile Setting

How to Set a Custom Status

  • Click on Set a Custom Status.

  • Select a custom status from the Set a Status pop-up.

  • Click the Set Status button in the bottom right corner of the pop-up.

How to change your status

This setting allows users to set their status to Online, Away, or Do not Disturb.

  • Online - Click on the Online option to show that you are online.

  • Away - Click on the Away option to show that you are away.

  • Do not disturb - Click on the Do not disturb option and select one of the following options to show that you do not want to be disturbed.

    • Select the Don’t Clear option to keep your Do not disturb status indefinite.

    • Select one of the remaining options to turn off the Do not disturb status after the desired time.

How to Update My Profile

  • Select Profile.

  • Click the Edit button next to the setting to be updated, than follow the steps below.

NickName - Use Nickname for a name you might be called that is different from your first name and username.

  • Enter your desired Nickname and Click Save.

Position - Use Position for your role or job title. This will be shown in your profile popover.

  • Enter your desired Position and Click Save.

Profile Picture - Upload a picture in BMP, JPG, JPEG, or PNG format. Maximum file size: 150MB.

  • Click Select.

  • Select a picture from your P/C.

  • Click Save.

How to Access TeamHub Settings

  • Click the Settings Icon.

  • From the Settings menu, select the desired settings to be adjusted.

Chat Settings

  • Select the desired Settings Category, Click the Edit button next to the setting to be updated, and follow the related steps below.

Chat Notifications

Desktop and mobile notifications

  • Send notifications:

    • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

      • For all activity

      • Mentions, direct messages, and group messages

      • Nothing

  • Thread reply notification
    When enabled, any reply to a thread you're following will send a notification.

    • Select or unselect Notify me about replies to threads I'm following to turn on or off these notifications.

    • Click Save.

  • Use different settings for my mobile devices

    • Select or unselect Use different settings for my mobile devices to turn on or off these notifications.

    • Click on the Trigger mobile notifications when I am dropdown field, and select the desired status for these notifications.

    • Click Save.

  • Desktop Notification Sounds
    Desktop Notification sound is only available when using the Chrome browser or the TeamHub Desktop application.

    • Select or unselect the “Message notification sound” to turn on or off sound notifications.

    • Click the dropdown and select the desired sound to be heard when a notification is received.

    • Click Save.

Email Notifications

Email notifications are sent for mentions and direct messages when you are offline or away for more than 5 minutes.

  • Email notifications

    • Select one of the following Send email notifications options.

      • Immediately

      • Never

    • Select or unselect the Notify me about threads I'm following to Enable or Disable these notifications.
      (When enabled, any reply to a thread you're following will send an email notification.)

    • Click Save.

Words That Trigger Mentions

Mentions trigger when someone sends a message that includes your username ("@username@companyname.com") or any of the options selected above.

  • Select the desired options below and Click Save.

⃞ Your case-sensitive first name: "Bob".

⃞ Your non case-sensitive username: "bjones@sangoma.com".

⃞ Channel-wide mentions "@channel", "@all", "@here".

⃞ Other non case-sensitive words, separated by commas: Enter the desired words.

Display

Clock Display

Select how you prefer the time to be displayed.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • 12-hour clock (example: 4:00 PM)

    • 24-hour clock (example: 16:00)

Teammate Name Display

Set how to display other user's names in posts and the Direct Messages list

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • Show username

    • Show nickname if one exists otherwise show first and last name

    • Show first and last name

Show online availability on profile images

When enabled, online availability is displayed on profile images in the message list.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • On

    • Off

Share last active time

When enabled, other users will see when you were last active.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • On

    • Off

Timezone

Select the timezone used for timestamps in the user interface and email notifications. If Automatic is selected, the timezone will be automatically set based on your location.

  • If you deselect automatic, click the dropdown and select the desired timezone.

  • Click Save.

Website Link Previews

When available, the first web link in a message will show a preview of the website content below the message.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • On

    • Off

Default Appearance of Image Previews

Set whether previews of image links and image attachment thumbnails show as expanded or collapsed by default. This setting can also be controlled using the slash commands /expand and /collapse.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • Expanded

    • Collapsed

Message Display

Select how messages in a channel should be displayed.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • Standard: Easy to scan and read.

    • Compact: Fit as many messages on the screen as we can.

Click to open threads

When enabled, click anywhere on a message to open the reply thread

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • On

    • Off

Channel Display

Select the width of the center channel.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • Full width

    • Fixed width, centered

Quick reactions on messages

When enabled, you can react quickly with recently used reactions when hovering over a message.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • On

    • Off

Sidebar

Group unread channels separately

When enabled, all unread channels and direct messages will be grouped together in the sidebar.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • On

    • Off

Number of direct messages to show

You can also change these settings in the direct messages sidebar menu.

  • Click the dropdown and select the desired count.

  • Click Save.

Advanced

Send Messages on CTRL+ENTER

When enabled, CTRL + ENTER will send the message and ENTER inserts a new line.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • On, for all messages

    • On, only for code blocks starting with ```

    • Off

Enable Post Formatting

If enabled, posts will be formatted to create links, show emoji, style the text, and add line breaks. This setting is enabled by default.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • On

    • Off

Enable Join/Leave Messages

When "On" System Messages saying a user has joined or left a channel will be visible. When "Off", the System Messages about joining or leaving a channel will be hidden. A message will still appear when you are added to a channel, so you can receive a notification.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • On

    • Off

Scroll position when viewing an unread channel

Choose your scroll position when you view an unread channel. Channels will always be marked as read when viewed.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • Start me where I left off

    • Start me at the newest message

Allow message drafts to sync with the server

When enabled, message drafts are synced with the server so they can be accessed from any device. When disabled, message drafts are only saved locally on the device where they are composed.

  • Select one of the following options and Click Save.

    • On

    • Off

Talk Settings

Integration Settings

Integration provides the ability to link your Google or Office 365 Contacts and Calendars to TeamHub.

Contacts Integrations

A great feature that TeamHub has, is it allows you to use your existing Google or Office 365 contacts. All you have to do is link your existing Google and/or Office 365 contacts to TeamHub by following the steps below.

  • Click the Settings ( ) icon in the top right corner of the page.

  • Select Integration.

  • Select Contacts in the panel on the left side.

  • Click the  + ADD CONTACTS SOURCE TO CONNECT  button.

 

 

  • Select either Google Contacts or Office 365.

  • Login into your Google or Office 365 account.

  • Give permissions for Sangoma Teamhub to see and download your contacts.

  • A link to your Google or Office 365 Contacts will be added to the Contacts Panel.

  • Click the ADD button for the desired Contact integrations.

How to disconnect Google Contacts

  • Click the Settings ( ) icon in the top right corner of the page.

  • Select Integration.

  • Select Contacts in the panel on the left side

  • Click the Disconnect button to the right of the Google or Office 365 Contacts.

Calendar Integrations

A great feature that TeamHub has, is it allows you to see your existing Google or Office 365 Calendar when scheduling a meeting.

Option 1:

If you have not yet connected a calendar to the app, when you click on Meet in the Left nav bar, you will see an option to connect a calendar.  Complete the following steps.  

  • Click the Calendar tab.

  • Click the  CONNECT YOUR CALENDAR  button.

  • When the Setting page is displayed, Click the  + ADD CALENDAR SOURCE TO CONNECT  button.

  • Click the  ADD  button next to the desired Calendar Source.

  • Follow the instructions to give permission for the app based on your device type.

Option 2:

  • Click the Settings ( ) icon in the top right corner of the page.

  • Select Integration.

  • Select Calendar in the left side panel.

  • Click the  + ADD CALENDAR SOURCE TO CONNECT  button.

  • Click the  ADD  button next to the desired Calendar Source.

  • Follow the instructions to give permission for the app based on your device type.

How to Disconnect a Calendar

  • Click the Settings ( ) icon in the top right corner of the page.

  • Select Integration.

  • Select Calendar in the left side panel.

  • Select   Disconnect   next to the calendar to be disconnected. 

  • Click the + ADD CONTACTS SOURCE O CONNECT button.

  • Click the ADD button for the desired Calendar integrations.

SMS Settings

From the SMS Settings page, you can:

  • See your TeamHub SMS Number and show your SMS Number in the chat history panel.

  • Turn on or off Desktop Notifications

  • Turn on or off Notification sounds
