Call Forwarding Not Working

If you are having trouble getting call forwarding working please review the following.

  1. Is the number entered as dialed? ie:Long distance needs 1+10 digits. Example (12123334444)Look at the number you have entered for your Follow Me and dial it from a phone on the PBX system the same way you have it entered

  2. If dialing the number from a phone in the same format you have it entered works than move to the next step.

  3. Does your carrier not allow foreign CID's?

  4. By default your PBX will send to your telephone provider the outbound caller ID as the number of the person that dialed you. What this means is if someone called your extension from 920-999-1000 and you have a Follow Me or Call Forwarding set on your phone and your telephone provider lets you send the outbound caller ID when you make outbound calls. The PBX system will call your follow me or call forwarding number and display the incoming call as 920-999-1000. The number of 920-999-1000 is a foreign Caller ID since it is not a phone number you own and some providers will block the call.

  5. If so, log into your Admin GUI and click on the trunk settings module, change CID Options to "Block Foreign CIDs" as seen in the screen shot below.

  6. Still not working? If none of the options above fix your issue you will need to get technical support involved to troubleshoot your issue further.
