F-5490 Circuit Hunting Option of Odd/Even CIC selection

Brief Description:

Feature F-5490 modifies the way an outgoing SS7 channel group selects an outgoing channel if the hunting option is set to Alternate Odd / Alternate Even. Prior to this change, when a call is routed to an outgoing SS7 channel group and the Alternate Odd /Alternate Even is configured the outgoing channel selected by the channel number being odd or even. Feature F-5490 modifies this behavior so the outgoing channel group selected is by the value of the CIC number being Odd or Even. F-5496 SS7 Suspend and Resume on receipt of SIP HOLD and RETRIEVE message

Brief Description:

Currently, if the IMG receives a RE-INVITE message with the connection address = 0.0.0.0 the IMG will send out a CPG (Remote Hold) message to the SIP side. This will put the call on hold. If the call is to resume then the IMG must receive a RE-INVITE message with a valid IP address and the IMG will send out a CPG (Remote Hold Release) message to release the hold that has been out on the line. F-5496 adds more functionality so that instead of having the IMG send out the CPG messages to hold and release the call hold state, the user can now decide to have either the two CPG messages interworked into the SS7 ISUP side or have the SUSPEND and RESUME message interworked when receiving the RE-INVITE messages. F-5601 Support for VLAN

Brief Description:

VLAN Tagging allows an individual port or interface on the IMG to be part of multiple VLANs. When configured, each packet is tagged before leaving the IMG with a VLAN ID tag compliant to IEEE 802.1Q VLAN specifications. The Ethernet Switch extracts the tag and routes the packet into the correct VLAN Group. Feature F-5601 Support for VLAN allows an IMG user the choice of whether or not packets leaving the IMG have a VLAN ID tag inserted in its header. Through the GCEMS application the user can specify the VLAN 16 bit Tag Control Information (TCI) to be assigned to an individual interface (CTRL/SIG/DATA) and/or a specific IP address. All packets leaving the specific interface or IP address will have a VLAN tag with the TCI information inserted in the ethernet header. F-5670 ISDN Facility Tunneling in SIP INFO

Brief Description:

Feature F-5670 ISDN Facility Tunneling functions only after a call between ISDN and SIP is in the answered state. Once a call is in the answered state, the SIP INFO message can be used to transfer information from the SIP network, through the IMG and then to the ISDN network. Once the IMG receives the SIP information it looks for a proprietary header labeled X-DLGCIsdnTunnelingInfo in the format displayed below:

X-DLGCIsdnTunnelingInfo: 621c<xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

The content of the header must have 0x621c for the IMG take the message and interwork it into the ISDN leg of the call. If the first four bytes are not 0x621c the SIP INFO message will be ignored. Feature 5670 functionality is specifically used to transfer Malicious Call Trace information from SIP to ISDN. Refer to the links in the Related Topics section below for more information.

F-5708 CUG Functionality

Brief Description:

When configuring the ISUP Group object in ClientView there is a field labeled CUG Handling which relates to a Closed User Groups. Currently the two choices in the drop down menu are Reject Calls and Ignore (These choices are described in the ISUP group topic). Feature F-5708 adds a third option titled Allow based on OFCI. When the IMG receives a CUG parameter in the IAM message the IMG will handle the call based on bits BA in the Optional Forward Call Indicators.
