Open Source - How do you install AsteriskNOW without FreePBX?
If you want to use AsteriskNOW DVD to install Asterisk but you don't want FreePBX GUI enabled, you can select option 2 during the installation, please see the following screenshot that show where the option can be selected. This option is normally used when you would like to use vanilla Asterisk without compiling from source.
Please make sure that you are the latest ISO as this option was not available on older versions, you can download the latest ISO on this link
