How Do I Manually Register A Snom M9 Phone

Reset Snom Phone to Factory Defaults

In the Switchvox /Admin Web Interface:

  1. Create Extension (Setup > Manage > Create Extension)

  2. Go to Setup > Phones > Unknown Phones to see if Snom is listed.

 

If it is:

  1. Check to Confirm Checked Phone > Yes (Configuration will push out to the Snom)

  2. Let phone reboot completely

  3. Assign Extension, Check Accept Assigned Phones > Yes (Configuration will push out to the Snom)

  4. Phone will reboot one more time.

 

If this does not configure the phone, use the Snom web interface:

Below are the inputs for the Snom M9 web interface fields to manually register your Snom M9 to Switchvox:

  1. For Provisioning Server: Internal IP of the phone server

  2. Settings refresh timer: 86400

  3. SIP client port (e.g. 5060): 5060

  4. RTP Type of Service (TOS/Diffserv): 160

  5. SIP Type of Service (TOS/Diffserv): 160

  6. Allow Check-Sync: off

  7. STUN server (e.g. stun.domain.com:5060): blank

  8. STUN refresh interval in seconds (e.g. 10): 5

  9. Action on Ethernet cable replug: Re-Register

 

Identity 1 Settings:

  1. Account: Phone extension number

  2. Registrar: IP of Phone Server

  3. Outbound Proxy: IP of Phone server

  4. Authentication Name: Phone extension number

  5. Password: Password found in Switchvox /Admin Web Interface (Setup > Manage > Modify Extension > Phone Settings > Advanced Phone Settings)

Phone should now register to the Switchvox.
