Support Services - How to fix Digium phone apps SSL certificate host mismatch errors after updating to 6.6.0.1

After updating to 6.6.0.1 Server reports SSL Certificate Host Mismatch error and/or phone apps no longer work. This is because as of Switchvox version 6.6, Digium Phones require (by default) a secured SSL environment with a valid SSL certificate from Switchvox.

  Steps needed to resolve issue:

  1. PBX should have a hostname that is resolvable. (preferably resolves to the internal IP when connecting from the internal network)

  2. PBX Hostname and Jabber Hostname must be the same in the IP Configuration screen.

  3. PBX should use the PBX's Hostname in the Phone Network Host Address field

If the PBX's IP configuration Hostname cannot be used in the phone networks (ie IP Address is needed) then new phone setting "Allow Insecure SSL" must be enabled. This can be bulk modified. Setup->Extensions:Manage->Bulk-Modify Extensions->Add extensions->Phone settings tab->Field to modify->Allow Insecure SSL:Yes->Save Modifications
