Call Menu Example #1: Using Business Hours

In this example configuration, we will create a Business Hours schedule, apply the schedule in our main menu, configure a Day of the Week submenu for Business Hours operations, and configure the main menu to play a weekend greeting during our off-hours.

 

To create your Business Hours Schedule:

  1. Login to your Admin Panel

  2. Click on AutoAnswer --> scheduler

  3. Create a new schedule called 'Business Hours'

  4. Set the type to Weekday

  5. Select Monday as the start day and Friday as the end day

  6. Select 8 am as the start time, and 5 pm as the end time

  7. Click Apply All Changes

To edit your Weekday submenu:

  1. Click AutoAnswer --> sub-menus

  2. Add steps to your submenu.

To edit your Main Menu:

  1. Click AutoAnswer --> edit call menu

  2. Under 'Add New Sequence', select After Step 1, Go to Ext/Submenu by schedule

  3. Click Apply All Changes

  4. The new sequence is applied.  Select your weekday submenu and the Business Hours schedule

  5. Add another sequence: Play Voiceprompt, Allow Keypress

  6. Select your weekend greeting from the drop-down (you can create whatever greeting you wish)

  7. Add any other steps you like
