IMG 1010 - External Gateways

Description:

The IMG can be configured to communicate with multiple SIP and H.323 gateways. The External Gateways object is a container or parent object to the External Gateway object. Under the External Gateways object, multiple External Gateway objects can be created under it.

Once the External Gateways object has been created, multiple individual gateway objects can be configured. Each External Gateway object will configure the IMG to communicate with each gateway. Once the External Gateways and External Gateway object have been configured, they can be selected as an external network element which is configured under IP Network Element object.

Accessing this pane:

IMG EMS > New External Network Elements > New External Gateways

Maximum Objects:

1 External Gateways object per External Network Element.

Update IP Table- After configuring or modifying and committing an External Gateway object you must come back to the External Gateways pane and click on the Update IP Table button. By doing this any new configuration or any modifications made to the Gateway objects will be downloaded to the 1010 IMG. Failure to click this button will result in the updates not getting downloaded.
