EAgent Configuration

This document will guide you through the configuration of your HUD software to allow it to automatically launch your default web browser and provide EAgent with the caller-ID information of an inbound call, giving you near instantaneous customer information.

NOTE * As of April 12th 2014, Allstate has made a change to eAgent that alters the way logins are handled.  For your screen pops to continue to work, you must make the following changes to your Fonality system to accommodate.

  1. Internet Explorer must be set the default web browser for your system.  If any other browser is set as default, the HUD web launcher will not function.

  2. Clear the SSL cache in Internet Explorer.

    1. Click tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Clear SSL State

    2. You should see “The SSL cache was successfully cleared.”

    3. Click ok, then ok again

 Troubleshooting steps:

Make sure Internet Explorer 11 is the default web browser:

Windows 10 - Search for “Default app settings” in lower left search box - Ensure Internet Explorer 11 (not Edge/Chrome/Firefox) is the default web browser.

*** IF anyone has issues with EAgent pop-ups - the following items can be checked in Internet Explorer:

 In Internet Options (Gear icon upper right corner of IE11’s browser window) -

General Tab -> Click “Tabs" button ->

Set:

“When a pop-up is encountered:"

Always open pop-ups in a new tab

“Open links from other programs in”:

“A new tab in the current window

Security Tab ->

Select “Trusted Sites” up top, and click “Sites” button

Enter in the field “Add this website to the zone:”:

This should add these two sites to the list - click “Close” button

Privacy Tab ->

Pop-up Blocker -> Uncheck “Turn on Pop-up Blocker” (disabling it basically)

Click “Apply” and then click “OK” button at the bottom - closing out Internet Options. Good to go!
