Polycom IP 501, 601, 550 & 650 configuration instructions for Connect service

If phone is idle, as shown in the photo:

Open

1. On the phone, press the Menu key and select Settings > Advanced

2. Contact us for the password to your Polycom phone, followed by the "Enter" softkey once you've entered the password.

3. Select Admin Settings > Network Configuration.

4. Scroll down to "Server Menu" and hit the "Select" key.

5. Hit the "Edit" key on the "Server Type" and scroll (blue ">" key) until it displays "FTP" then press "Ok" key.

6. Scroll down to "Server Address" and hit the "Edit" key.

7. Hit the "a->1A" or (1/A/a) softkey until the title says "a->1A" ( or a/Ascii )

8. Enter "ftp.pbxtra.com" followed by the "Ok" softkey (use the "*" star key to enter the decimal points), then press "OK" to return to the previous menu.

9. Scroll down to "Server User" and press the "Edit" key.

10. Hit the "a->1A" or (1/A/a) softkey until the title says "1->aA" or "1/Ascii )

11. Enter your server ID then press "OK" to return to the previous menu.

12. Scroll down to "Server Password" and press the "Edit" key.

13. Hit the "a->1A" or (1/A/a) softkey until the title says "1->aA" or "1/Ascii )

14. Enter your FTP password and then press "OK" to return to the previous menu.

15. Hit the "Exit" softkey twice.

16. Hit the "Select" softkey once you see "Save & Reboot" selected.

If the phone is rebooting / stuck in a reboot loop:

Open

1. During the boot countdown, press the "setup" softkey as shown in the photo to the right.

2. Contact us for the password to your Polycom phone, followed by the "Enter" softkey once you've entered the password.

3. Scroll down to "Server Menu" and hit the "Select" key.

4. Hit the "Edit" key on the "Server Type" and scroll (blue ">" key) until it displays "FTP" then press "Ok" key.

5. Scroll down to "Server Address" and hit the "Edit" key.

6. Hit the "a->1A" or (1/A/a) softkey until the title says "a->1A" ( or a/Ascii )

7. Enter "ftp.pbxtra.com" followed by the "Ok" softkey (use the "*" star key to enter the decimal points), then press "OK" to return to the previous menu.

8. Scroll down to "Server User" and press the "Edit" key.

9. Hit the "a->1A" or (1/A/a) softkey until the title says "1->aA" or "1/Ascii )

10. Enter your server ID then press "OK" to return to the previous menu.

11. Scroll down to "Server Password" and press the "Edit" key.

12. Hit the "a->1A" or (1/A/a) softkey until the title says "1->aA" or "1/Ascii )

13. Enter your FTP password and then press "OK" to return to the previous menu.

14. Hit the "Exit" softkey twice.

15. Hit the "Select" softkey once you see "Save & Reboot" selected.
