DPMA Apps-Contacts

Overview

The Contacts Application lets you see all the groups of users that have been created in the Contacts Manager module. You can search for contacts/users or view groups to find and call users easily.

Please rebuild and update phone config file, if you are adding/deleting any contact.

Example:- 1000 user is configured in one phone and you have added/deleted any contact in the same group, which is assigned to 1000, then new contact will only display/hide when you will rebuild and update the phone config file.

Viewing Contacts and Contact Groups

  • Pressing the Contacts button will bring up a list of all contacts created inside the Contact Manager module.


  • Here you will see all the contacts.


  • To display all the groups, click to "More → Filter"


Dialing Contacts

  • Use the up and down arrows to highlight the user you are looking for. Then, press Dial




  • You can also press Dial VM button to direct dial a users voicemail and Send Voicemail messages.


  • You can also press the Show button to view more details on a user.


  • You can now view information like his or her title, cell and work number. Highlight the one you want to call and press Select to place the call.


  • Now you can use new apps like Voicemail, Intercom and Monitor.


  • Voicemail App use to direct dial a users voicemail and Send Voicemail messages to Sip Extension.

            

  •   Intercom App allows you to dial another sip extension but have the extension you are dialing "auto answer" instead of ringing.
      This functionality  supported in Sangoma Dx series Phones.




    • Monitor App allows you to dial another sip extension and ChanSpy on SIP channels, allowing the user to listen in on a contacts current call.
      Monitor app will be able to monitor or listen the call between another two extension only if the Findmefollow for that particular extension is disabled.

Enable Monitor App in EPM

Use Monitor App option is disabled by default in Endpoint Manager. We have to manually enable this option. As this is a template option so we can enable/disable this option in each template as per the requirement.

 "Endpoint Manager → Right Nav → Brands → Sangoma → D & P series phones → Select Template → Options → Monitor Call"

  • Here is the option for search the contact, enter in your search criteria.


  • Here you will see the searched result.
