DPMA Apps-Time Conditions

This page describes the Time Condition Application for Sangoma's P Series phones with firmware version 4.23.2 or higher.

Overview

The purpose of the Time Conditions application is to let you override your normal time condition rules to force a matched or unmatched state. (i.e. "Open for Business" vs. "Closed for Business" or "Day" vs. "Night.")

It is designed to work with the Time Condition module

The Time Condition application will only let the user see the all-time condition list with their override state.

There are two types of overrides i.e. Temporary and Permanent.

Sample Use Cases

  • "Temporary Override (Matched or Unmatched): Suppose it's 4:00 PM on a Friday, and your regular time condition switches to Unmatched (night) mode at 5:00 PM. If you want to leave early, you can set a 'Temporary Override' to switch the system to Unmatched mode immediately. This override remains in effect until the next scheduled change—5:00 PM in this example—at which point the regular schedule resumes, keeping the system in Unmatched mode as planned."

  • "Permanent Override (Matched or Unmatched): If it's 4:00 PM on a Thursday and your time condition switches to Unmatched (night) mode at 5:00 PM, but you plan to leave early and your business will be closed on Friday, you can set a 'Permanent Override' to switch the system to Unmatched mode. This mode will remain active until you manually reset the override, at which point the system will revert to following the regular schedule."

Overriding Time Conditions

  • For any time condition, you can pick from the following options:

    • Reset Override/Unset - Use this option to remove any active overrides and immediately revert the system to the automated schedule.

    • Temporary Matched - This forces the system to route all calls to the 'Matched' destination you set until the next scheduled change. After the scheduled change occurs, the time condition will return to the normal schedule, and the override will be removed.

    • Permanent Matched - This forces the system to send all calls to the "Matched" destination of this time condition that you set up indefinitely until you manually tell it to "Reset Override/Unset" from this application or from the Time Condition PBX GUI module.

    • Temporary Unmatched - This forces the system to route all calls to the 'Unmatched' destination until the next scheduled automatic change. After the new automatic scheduled change occurs, the time condition will return to the normal schedule, and the override will be removed.

    • Permanent Unmatched - This forces the system to indefinitely route all calls to the 'Unmatched' destination until you manually tell it to "Reset Override/Unset" from this application or from the Time Condition PBX GUI module

  • To edit the highlighted Time Condition, press the Change button.

  • From here, you can see this Time Condition is currently set to Permanently Matched as indicated by the tick mark.
