This version requires version 7.0 (94939). See the article Updating to Switchvox 7.0  for instructions on migrating to version 7.0.  Please note that users may need to clear their web browser cache after the update, so any changes from your prior version are displayed correctly.  

New Features and Enhancements

Pause Recording for Automatic Recordings

This Switchvox version includes support for a Desktop Softphone (v3.5.0) feature to pause recording on a call that's being automatically recorded because of a Call Recordings rule.

In Tools > Call Recordings, a Switchvox administrator can set a Call Recording rule to Allow Recordings to be Paused. In the Desktop Softphone app, each applicable call has a Pause Recording button that forces silence to be recorded, letting the callers exchange information that should not be part of the recording - e.g., a credit card number.

A call that is being automatically recorded with Pause Recording set to YES, cannot be recorded by a user. Whether the user wants to record their own call, or record another person's call (with permission), those user-based recording features are not available for these types of calls.

Hot Desking

P-Series desk phones P320, P325, and P330 now support Hot Desking (in addition to the P310 and P315).

Known Issue

  • P-Series desk phone firmware is affected by a known issue related to Parking Status Indicators buttons programmed on P-Series desk phones. If you have a parking status indicator that is not correctly lighting up green when there is a call on that extension, use the Switchvox web suite to set the extension's .Phone Settings, Contacts section, setting Number of Rapid Dial Subscriptions to the same number of rapid dial items the extension has in its Rapid Dial Favorites list.

​​​​​Issues Resolved

  • Corrections for a D-series or P-series desk phone's BFL keys. If these issues on the BLF keys are not corrected after the update to 7.9.3, simply re-order one item on your list (Features > Phone Features > Rapid Dial Favorites) and it will be regenerated and correct these issues.

    • Multiple Status Indicators can once again be used.

    • BLF items are placed correctly for each P-Series phone model, including 20 pages for the P325 and 10 pages for the P330.

  • Salesforce Lightning and Zendesk URLs are allowed to render Switchvox content in a frame.

No new desk phone firmware is included.
