Virtual extension vs. Voicemail-only extension
A Voicemail-only extension is a free extension that can be used as a General Office voicemail box, the voicemail box of a department, or for any other voicemail purpose. The extension does not have a Username or Password configurable meaning these extensions cannot use HUD, the Fonality User Panel, FONcall, or any other feature that requires a username and password for access.
Voicemail-only extensions are best used as general office voicemail boxes or department voicemail boxes.
A Virtual extension is a non-free extension that does not have an associated user. The virtual extension is used only for forwarding or routing calls, and does need a username or password. (The virtual extension does not log into HUD or the control panel)
Looking for labels? They can now be found in the details panel on the floating action bar.
