Losing a Window when using Dual-Monitors

Losing a Window when using Dual-Monitors

If your computer supports a Dual-Monitor setup, and you drag any component of HUD2 from one monitor into the other, when you disconnect that second monitor, the HUD component you dragged will not automatically appear on the primary screen.  You also will find you are unable to recover the window by toggling the View --> option for that particular component.

This situation is particularly relevant to commuters who bring a laptop to the office and back home, and leave a separate monitor at the office connecting only when they are at their desk.  Many employees at Fonality use this type of setup, and it's fairly common across a variety of different companies.

In order to bring your lost window back, please perform these steps:

  1. Click on the down-arrow at the top of HUD in order to put HUD into micro-mode

  2. Click the up-arrow once you are in micro-mode in order to revert HUD to it's regular display mode

  3. Your lost window should be grouped with the other visable components of HUD on your Primary monitor
