Dell 1950 III PCI-E vs. PCI-X Risers

Dell 1950 III PCI-E vs. PCI-X Risers

When using a Dell 1950 III server, you may need to choose between the PCI-E and PCI-X risers necessary for installing a TDM card.  Dell's nomenclature has caused some confusion for customers in the past, so we present a clear mapping between the correct riser for the correct type of card below:

  • If you want to install a Sangoma PCI-Express card = you need Dell’s PCI-E riser

  • If you want to install a Sangoma PCI card = you need Dell’s PCI-X riser
