Install HUD Client - How do I?

  1. Login to cp.fonality.com using your Web Username and Web Password

  2. Click on the HUD icon displayed on the home page (lower-left corner)

  3. Select the version of HUD client you require: Windows, Mac, or MSI

  4. Once the application finishes downloading, double-click the HUD icon and follow the on-screen instructions presented by the installation wizard

  5. Important: HUD uses the Web username and password for the individual extension.  The admin login will not work.

Once you have installed HUD3, upon launch, you should see the HUD3 splash image:

HUD opens with the Personal Window displayed:

Note: In the image above, Tyler Merritt is on a call.  The Personal window turns a different color depending on the type of call:

  • Green - Connected on an inbound or outbound call (non-queue call)

  • Orange - Connected on a Queue call

  • Purple - Connected to someone's voicemail

  • Red - Connected to a Conference Bridge ( Professional Edition or Call Center Edition only)

  • Blue - Your phone is ringing

A brief explanation of some icons follows:

  • qicon.jpg - The Q icon allows ACD Agents to quickly login or logout of all queues.  This icon turns Orange when an Agent is logged in.  Grey means the Agent is logged off.

  • hold.jpg - Clicking this icon will transfer the current call to ON HOLD.  Once you have transferred the call to hold, drag the call from the hold area to the main status area to resume speaking.

  • vmicon.jpg - The Voicemail icon flashes red when you have a new voicemail waiting.  When there are no new messages, the icon has a grey background (saved messages or old messages do not flash red)

  • minimize.jpg - Clicking this icon collapses HUD into a thin client that can sit anywhere on your desktop without taking up much space:
