My server will not boot/startup

If your system fails to start but you can see some status messages on the console monitor, please record the on-screen information (a digital picture that is clearly readable works fine) and submit it to Fonality Support via a Support Ticket.

 

You can try the following steps to resolve the issue on your own:

  1. Disconnect the PBXtra from any power source (including a UPS)

  2. Open the server

  3. Disconnect all PCI and/or PCIe cards and then reconnect them making sure they are snugly inserted

  4. Double-check that all power cables (the white-head Molex power connectors) are securely attached to each other.  Any component within the server that has a power cable that is not plugged in could potentially prevent the system from starting

  5. Disconnect any external peripherals (USB mouse, keyboard, etc) and try to startup your PBXtra
