How to create a call cascade rule?

What is a call cascade?

A call cascade is a method of sending calls from your extension to an external phone number, such as a cell phone.This call rule allows you to control when and where the calls that come into your extension are sent if you are unavailable in your office but still would like to receive phone calls. For example, this can be used when users are out of the office for lunch or on vacation and still want to receive the calls.

Steps to Create a Call Cascade Rule

  1. Log in to the users extension (This can be done by directly accessing users extension or accessing via the admin login)

  2. Once logged into the extension, go to the "Features" tab and select "Call Rules".

  3. Select "Create Call Rule Set"

  4. Here, you will give the rule a name, select a time frame, and choose a rule set status.

  5. Once the Call Rule has been set and saved, Select "Create Actions" then "Call Cascade"

  6. Then select the type of call you wish to cascade.

  7. Then enter the phone number you wish to send the callers too(cell phone)

    Note: Make sure to enter the number as it would be dialed from the PBX(i.e. If you require a 91+10 digit number to match your outgoing call rule..remember to enter the 91 before the 10 digit cell number)

  8. Select "Save Action"

  9. Once complete, go back to "Features" then "Call Rules" and use the green arrow on the left to move the Cascade rule you created to the number 1 position.

  10. Place test call

Note : If there is no audio going out or coming in to the cascaded phone(cell phone), log in as the administrator and go to;

VOIP Provider→Call Setting→Enable "Always Send Early Media." This should take care of the "no audio" issue.
