How do you create IVR greetings and voicemail greetings?

For IVR extensions:

1. In the /admin GUI, go to Tools > Sound Manager > Click Create Sound.

2. Name and describe the sound however you want.

3. Choose the folder you want to save the new greeting to in the Sound Manager.

4. Choose Record Over Phone and the extension you would like to ring to record from or upload a sound file you have already created.

5. When you push Ring Extension, that phone will ring and you can record your new greeting.

6. When done, hang up and save sound.

Then go to Tools > IVR Editor

1. Click the drop down menu Choose IVR Menu to Modify, pick the IVR Extension and click View.

2. Create a Play Sound action.

3. Choose the new greeting you just made and save.

4. Call the IVR to test.

For extension voicemail greetings:

1. Go to Setup > Extensions Manage and log into the extension you want to change.

2. Click on Voicemail/Fax > Voicemail Options > Click Create Greeting.

3. This is similar to the Sound Manager and you can record a new greeting over the phone or upload a file, but in this case the new greeting will be saved in the extension's voicemail options section.

4. To enable the new greeting, click the green check mark to Activate the greeting.

5. Place a test call to the extension to hear your new greeting.
