How can I omit extensions from IVR extension dialing?

  1. Whle logged into Switchvox as an administrator, navigate to Setup-Extension Groups.

  2. Click the Create Extension Group button in the upper left hand corner.

  3. Give the extension group a name.

  4. In the Manage Group Members section, add only the members you would like people calling into the IVR to be able to dial.

  5. Click the Save Extension Group button at the bottom of the page. 

  6. Now navigate to Tools-IVR Editor.

  7. Select the IVR you would like to work with from the Select IVR Menu To Modify list and click the View button.

  8. Once in the correct IVR, scroll down and select the Modify Options button at the bottom of the page.

  9. Under the Enable Extension Dialing section, select the extension group name that you created earlier in Step 3.

  10. Click the Save Extension Dialing Setting button.

  11. Now users calling into the IVR will only be able to dial extensions that are part of the extension group you created.
