My External Contacts

This tool lets you create and maintain External Contacts for personal use. These cannot be seen by other phone-users.

The following are the Contacts tools where you'll find and use the External Contacts that you create here. These tools also include other Contacts, such as External Contacts created by the Switchvox administrator, and other Switchvox extensions.

• Switchboard All Contacts list, which lets you filter by Groups.

• Switchboard Quick Dial widget, which lets you display any of your Contacts, and offers easy access to calling actions.

• Switchboard Call Activity widget, which lets you display your Switchvox Contacts and each of their calls.

• Digium Phone Contacts app, which lets you filter by Groups.

• Softphone Contacts tab.

Click Create External Contact to display the Create Contact menu, then enter the contact information:
 

First Name. Enter the first name of the contact.
Last Name. Enter the last name of the contact.
Jabber ID. Enter the Jabber ID of the contact.
Number Label. Select from the dropdown menu: Business, Mobile, Home, or Other
Number. Enter the contact's phone number.
Default indicator. If more than one phone number, indicate the default number.
